Ledbury 2nds RFC 47 - 5 Ross 2nds
Ross 2nds RFC travelled to Ledbury 2nds RFC on Saturday and were comprehensively defeated 47-5 despite a dogged performance from the Ross team. Ledbury started brightly but were met by some dogged defending from Ross who tackled their hearts out. On 20mins, Ledbury scored their first try and never looked back. A quick succession of tries from Ledbury put the Ross' heads down for a while, however midway through the 2nd half Ross got on the score sheet with a try from centre Joe Muldowney who ran a great line to go over following two quick tap penalties from back row Ashley Nelmes. Ross did threaten to score more with passages of good play from outside centre Pete Smith and wingers Lee Clement & Greg Morris, but the decisive finishes were lacking. Paul Hayward, Craig Robertshaw and Dave Lawrence had good games within Ross' pack, but Drop Inn man of the match went to Ben Taylor-Davies with some ferocious tackling. This week Ross 2nds are away to Drybrook 3rds.
