After what could only be described as atrocious, Ross ended the first half of this game 35 points to 5 down at half time. A rather charged half time pep talk saw Ross come out for the second half full of aggression sprit and pride.

From the restart Ross collected the ball on the 10 metre line. Excellent driving by Clements, Christopher and Jode set the ball for scrum half Griffiths. Fine footwork found space and time for outside half Creed who swiftly set T C Leech on his way for an excellent try under the posts. This was converted by Bevan to make it a more respectable 35 12.

For the most Ross were now in complete control with attack after attack. only superb defence by Longlevens kept Ross at bay. The final nail in the Ross coffin came when Ross were attacking 22 meters out, the ball was turned over and with Ross committing too many to the ruck, Longlevens broke down the blind side for another long range try.

In summary if Ross played with the same commitment in the first half as they did in the second the score would have been a lot closer and maybe a win could of been achieved.

This weeks walford Timber man of the match goes to Craig Creed for his excellent effort in a position new to him.

Next week Ross 2nds have a free weekend. On Sat 17th its back to Merit table action V Hereford.
