The fourth Easter holiday tour being run by Ross rugby club held at Boreatton park PGL camp saw a great turn out for 4 days of fun filled activities for both parents, children and coaches alike, excellently organised again by Tracie Hearn.
Arriving on the afternoon of the 1st April we were soon fed and the children were whisked away to play the flag game under the watchful presence of the PGL staff while the parents were allowed some chill time
Saturday saw an action packed day after being split into groups and did some of the activities that had been laid on for us to do over the next few days. These included, archery, rifle shooting, wall climbing, abseiling, fencing, high ropes, zip line and challenge course. The photographs show how much fun was had by all especially when the sun shone in the afternoon following a very wet morning.
Sunday saw a great start to the day with the whole junior section coming together to build 5 rafts, with some great ideas and designs and great fun once the rafts were launched but alias a lot of people seemed to end up getting wet! Thankfully the sun was shining although the lake apparently hadn’t warmed that much! Sunday afternoon was about retuning to the activities not completed on Saturday for some more fun.
Monday morning saw the last of the activates including the assault course and by lunchtime we were all done! I’m not sure about anyone else’s car, but we had barely left the drive of PGL and my wife and children were fast asleep! A great fun weekend and very much looking forward to next year.
