Ross on wye 56 Bredon Star 12
Ross ran in ten tries delivering a convincing win against Bredon star, with their rivals losing Ross find themselves top of the table after ten games. Ross were quickly into their stride receiving the kick off they secured the ball and Thai put a killer clearing kick sixty yards into their twenty two, Bredon failed to exit and when the ball was turned over Ross quickly moved the ball right and winger Craig Smith had too much gas and scored in the corner to put Ross 5-0 up,within a few minutes they were further ahead with hooker Josh Element crashing over to score, Thai added the two and after ten minutes Ross were 12-0 ahead. It was not all one way traffic though Bredon had a number of big ball carriers who asked a lot of questions from the Ross defence, but they held firm and on the half hour Gavin Oates added another try as Ross went 19 points clear. Bredon hit back immediately securing ball in the Ross twenty two their big ball carriers bombarded the Ross line but the defence held firm however, a few infringements led to the referee awarding a penalty try to bring Bredon back to 19-7. Ross hit back with another try just before the break as Chris Price crashed over and Ross were 26-7 ahead at the break. The second half saw Ross continue their dominance further tries from Gavin Oates, Chris Price, Chris Thomas, Craig Smith and Matt King who finished off a searing 80 metre break from Chay Brine which saw Ross home convincing 56-12 winners.
The David Cooke man of the match was Thai Hayward who marshalled play well at outside half. Next Saturday Ross are away to Brockworth a 2.30pm kick off
